CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Cleveland City Council released the proposed redistricting map for the city on Tuesday.

City Council will vote on the map at their January 6, 2025 meeting.

In the release, the council said:

"This once-in-a-decade opportunity required a genuine focus on addressing some of the concerns from the previous redistricting efforts and ensuring our neighborhoods and wards have fair and equal representation," said Council President Griffin. "In 2008, Cleveland voters overwhelmingly supported tying the size of the City Council to the City's population."
