At Liberty Christian, Gideon Davidson scored three times and rushed for 167 yards on 11 carries as LCA improved to 8-0 with a 61-0 win over visiting Brookville.

The Bulldogs held the Bees (3-6) to 57 yards of total offense, with just 23 of those yards coming in the first half. Davidson scored on runs of 16 and 24 yards on back-to-back touchdowns after quarterback Tyler Jackson started the scoring off on LCA's first possession with a 4-yard scoring strike to Austin Trembley.

Davidson later scored on a 42-yard run early in the second quarter. Justis Belford added 57 yards on the ground and had a touchdown for the Bulldogs, who will play Jefferson Forest next week in a game that will determine the Seminole District regular-season title. JF needs a win to force a share of the title, while LCA can win it outright with a victory.

Jackson completed 7 of 10 passes for 73 yards. Brookville's Kamari Braxton had 22 rushing yards.

Jefferson Forest 38, Amherst 31

In a game that came down to the wire, Amherst had the ball late with a chance to score, but the Lancers came up empty and fell to Forest in a game that could determine whether the Lancers get in the playoffs.

Amherst (4-5) entered in 10th place in the Region 4D playoff rankings, just shy of E.C. Glass for ninth place. The top eight teams in the region make the playoffs when the regular season ends next week.

It was the second straight week the Lancers have had a chance to pull out a Seminole District victory. Last week, turnovers doomed Amherst's chances. This week, Forest held on, setting up an interesting regular-season finale against Liberty Christian.

Rustburg 50, Liberty 0

In Rustburg, Ari Reid rushed for three touchdowns and the Red Devils scored on seven of their eight possessions in a blowout win over Liberty.

Reid scored on runs of 4, 11 and 17 yards. Rustburg (6-3) put up 247 yards of total offense, with 226 taking place on the ground.

Liberty (0-9) was shut out of the second straight week and had 41 yards of total offense.

Altavista 50, Nelson 12

In Lovingston, Altavista running back Ladainian Stone rushed for 132 yards on 11 carries and scored three touchdowns as the Colonels improved to 9-0 on the season.

Cooper Brooks rushed for 76 yards on two carries and scored a rushing touchdown, while also throwing a passing touchdown on his only attempt of the night (a 20-yarder to Luke Tweedy). Jaxon Souser had a fumble recovery for a touchdown.

Nelson (5-4) is still in the playoff hunt in Region 2C. Altavista occupies the top spot for the playoffs in 1B.
