BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) -- The Ridgecrest Police Department announced that a 15-year-old girl is dead after she was suspected to be hit by an unknown vehicle.

On Oct. 26, 2024, at 2:00 a.m., Ridgecrest officers were called to a report of an unresponsive subject in the 400 block of W. Las Flores Ave.

When they arrived, they located a 15-year-old girl who was unresponsive.

Officers immediately began CPR and life-saving measures.

KCFD and Liberty Ambulance paramedics also responded and began life-saving measures, however, the juvenile succumbed to her injuries.

The department also says, there was no indication that this was an intentional act of violence.
