Several flashes lit up the Indiana sky in the early hours of Tuesday, December 10, doorbell camera footage shows.

Michelle Lair's camera captured a series of flashes, including a bright fireball, shortly after 4 am on Tuesday, a few days before the peak of the Geminid meteor shower in Thorntown, Indiana.

According to the American Meteor Society, the peak of activity was expected to occur anywhere from 17:00 Universal Time on December 13 to 1:00 Universal Time on December 14, producing about 15 meteors per hour. Credit: Michelle Lair via Storyful
