DALLAS Cowboys icon Jimmy Johnson can't see Deion Sanders becoming the team's new head coach.
But Johnson, 81, won two Super Bowls as their coach in the 1990s as well.
The Fox NFL Sunday show star appeared on FS1 program The Facility this week.
He was talking to LeSean McCoy and Emmanuel Acho about Sanders potentially moving to Dallas.
And he declared, "No, I don't think that happens.
"I love Deion but his strength is bringing in talent.
"He has got an outstanding coaching staff, which is one reason why they've gotten where they are.
"But I don't see it happening there in Dallas."
Johnson added, "He can bring out the best in the talent he's got, and that's part of it."
Sanders was asked about potentially leaving the Colorado Buffaloes for an NFL head coach job.
"That means I'm resting, I'm good, I'm happy. I love it here, truly do."
Cowboys owner Jones this week claimed that McCarthy could still be in line for a contract extension.
"I don't think that's crazy at all," Jones said on 105.3 The Face on Tuesday.
"This is a Super Bowl-winning coach.
"Mike McCarthy has been there and done that. He has great ideas.
