ANN ARBOR, MI - The Kiwi Whip Fruited Sour on tap at Ashley's has a unique look and an even more distinct flavor profile.

Brewed with a blend of kiwi and soft serve ice cream the sweet, tart and creamy flavor is more reminiscent of sorbet than beer.

Sours have been at the top of my favorite beers. There is something creative about flipping the flavor beer is "supposed" to have on its head. I usually pick these up in the summer, but when I saw Ashley's serving florescent green sours, I had to check it out.

If this was only brewed with kiwis it might make your lips pucker, but paired with vanilla soft serve rounds out the beer and makes it remarkably sweet and creamy. The beer tastes like a candy from my childhood, but I just can't put my finger on it.

The mix of tart and creamy makes this beer super unique and a perfect dessert beer for after dinner.

Hours: 11:30 a.m.. to midnight Sunday through Wednesday and 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.
