California under a wind advisory Sunday and Monday, according to the NWS

On Saturday at 1 a.m. the NWS Las Vegas NV issued a wind advisory valid from Sunday 4 p.m. until Monday 4 p.m. The advisory is for Lake Havasu and Fort Mohave, Lake Mead National Recreation area and San Bernardino County-Upper Colorado River Valley.

North winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected for Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Lake Havasu and Fort Mohave, and San Bernardino County-Upper Colorado River Valley from 5 p.m. Sunday to 5 p.m. Monday. The NWS says, "Crosswinds may create difficult driving conditions on Interstate 40."

"Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result," explains the NWS. "Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects. Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create hazardous conditions for small craft."
