Week 10 of the AHSAA and AISA football season is complete. Here's a look at the week's top performers from the Montgomery area in high school football, volleyball and cross country.

Football

Alabama Christian quarterback Christian Snipes completed 12 of 24 passes for 247 yards and two touchdowns in a 32-29 win against Maplesville.

Opp's Justice Baldwin completed 11 of 23 passes for 281 yards and three touchdowns in a 36-32 loss to Holmes County. He also scored on a 1-yard run.

Wetumpka's Justin Godwin intercepted a pass, broke up two passes and made eight tackles. His play also included throwing a touchdown pass to Kelby Walker.

Montgomery Academy's Price McLemore finished third overall with a time of 18:02.21 at the AHSAA Class 4A, Section 1 championships. He helped lead the team place first and gain a qualifying ticket into the AHSAA state championships, which will be held Nov. 9, 2024 at Oakville Indian Mounds Park in Oakville.

Montgomery Academy's Bo Johnston finished fifth, Matt Cone seventh, Trey White eighth and Frank Williford 10th.

Prattville's Julies Jones crossed the finish line first to win the Central Invitational in Phenix City. His time was 18:48.27.

Montgomery Academy's Elle Ingram won the AHSAA individual Class 4A, Section 1 championship in Loxley, Ala., with her winning time of 20:09.92 to help pace the team to win its section and qualify for the state championships that will be held November 9 at Oakville Indian Mounds Park in Oakville. At sectional, the girls team out-paced second-place team, Saint James, 34 points (MA) to 63.

Montgomery Catholic's Harper Howell had 17 kills and five blocks in the AHSAA Elite 8 Class 5A state 3-2 (25-21, 20-25, 22-25, 25-23, 15-11) semifinal loss to UMS-Wright.

Prattville Christian's Emma Cate Carter was voted AHSAA Elight Eight, Class 4A tournament MVP after leading the team with 24 kills in the championship final to take a 3-1 win (22-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-19) against Alexandria.

Prattville Christian, down two sets to open its semifinal match, led by Emma Cate Carter's 24 kills and 12 digs, came back to win the next three sets and defeat Madison County, 3-2, (22-25, 24-26, 25-12, 25-18, 15-9) to advance to the AHSAA Class 4A state final.

Prattville Christian's Baylee Rogers had 57 assists, 14 digs, two service aces and two kills.

Prattville Christian, playing in the AHSAA Class 4A quarterfinal, was led by Leah Cate Wilson and Emma Cate Carter, both with 10 kills apiece, in a 3-0 win (25-18, 26-24, 25-19) against Cherokee County.

Prattville Christian's Baylee Rogers made 30 assists and 14 digs in the quarterfinal.

Prattville Christian senior libero Natalee Wheeler's match ended with her contributing 10 digs and three service aces.
