HOUSTON -- A woman was arrested after prosecutors say she gave illegal injections to clients at a Houston med spa.
Alegna Delgado James was charged with practicing medicine without a license or permit.
Investigators with the Houston Police Department say she used counterfeit Botox and Juvéderm. Police say she defrauded two clients of $3,400.
In probable cause court, KHOU 11 learned Delgado James is a certified medical assistant.
Defense argued for a lower bond because she did not perform any invasive procedures that required anesthesia.
She posted $5,000 bond. Delgado James is required to stay away from ABS Aesthetics, where she is accused of giving the injections.
