SWEET HOME Ore. (KPTV) - One person was killed and two people were injured in a two-car head-on crash near milepost 16 on Hwy 228 on Friday at about 5 p.m.

One person was a passenger of the car that sustained significant damage to the driver's side, they were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive.

The driver of the same car was found dead at the scene.

The other driver was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.

LifeFlight was requested for the crash but could not fly because of the weather.
