The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will be making its way through northeastern New York later this month.
In its 26th year, the festive train, which is about 1,000 feet long and consists of 14 decorated rail cars, will be making seven stops in the Empire State between Nov. 25-26.
"The Holiday Train unites people in the spirit of the season as it travels across Canada and the United States, while generating critical support for our neighbours in need through the program's support of local food banks," CPKC President and CEO Keith Creel said. "We look forward to seeing all the smiles and cheers from people young and old coming together in the spirit of giving."
The goal of the Holiday Train is to raise money and awareness and collect food, all to support local food banks across the CPKC network, according to the company's website.
The Holiday Train has raised more than $24.3 million and collected about 5.3 million pounds of food for local food banks throughout the U.S. and Canada since its start in 1999.
Where is this year's Holiday Train stopping in NY?
Outfitted with a brightly decorated stage, each stop will feature a performance by professional musicians and a donation to a local food bank. Viewers will also be encouraged to make a donation of their own.
All of New York's performances will include Canadian country group James Barker Band and R&B/soul artist Clerel. Here's when and where the train will be stopping in New York this year:
