Lafayette police officer injured after car crash with Toyota sedan

A Lafayette police officer driving with lights and sirens was injured in a crash involving a Toyota Camry around 6:31 p.m. on Saturday at U.S. 287 and South Boulder Road, according to a press release from the Colorado State Patrol.

The officer was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The Camry driver complained of minor injuries, but declined to go to the hospital by ambulance, according to the release.

Colorado State Patrol troopers were asked to investigate the crash, which remains under investigation. No citations have been issued, according to the release.
