Thanksgiving week is in full motion and so is the annual Canadian Pacific Holiday Train.
For its 26th year, the train is bringing holiday joy between Nov. 22 to Dec. 17 through several states like New York, Michigan, Illinois and Texas.
While the train does not offer rides to the public, it makes stops at over a 150 communities throughout Canada and the U.S., including 13 stops in Wisconsin and 20 in Minnesota.
Santa Claus and his elves are onboard the holiday tour, which also feature performances from various artists including rock band American Authors, who are playing through Dec. 2. In addition to holiday spirit, the train is also spreading awareness about food insecurity and accepting donations for local food banks.
"We are pleased to again send this magical train on a four-week trip across our network spreading holiday joy as we collect food and raise money to fight food insecurity," Canadian Pacific Kansas City CEO Keith Creel said on the train's website. "We look forward to seeing all the smiles and cheers from people young and old coming together in the spirit of giving."
In 2022, the annual train tour returned after a three year hiatus due to COVID-19 and has embarked through parts of Canada and the U.S since.
