Yankees' projected lineup for 2025 as Paul Goldschmidt signs one-year deal

The re-imagining of the Yankees' lineup in the immediate Post Juan Soto era continued Saturday, with the Yankees' signing of free-agent first baseman Paul Goldschmidt on a one-year deal.

Goldschmidt's acquisition follows the trade of lefty-hitting outfielder/first baseman Cody Bellinger, and gives the Yankees a veteran right-handed presence in the middle of their lineup.

There's probably another move coming to boost a lineup that could use a better presence at third base, but here's how the Yankees' lineup might look if today were Opening Day:

With Goldschmidt as the regular first baseman, Bellinger becomes the Yanks' regular at either center or left field, with Judge back in right field.

The Yankees are better served having Chisholm Jr. move back to second base, charging GM Brian Cashman with finding an upgrade at third base, though there are in-house options, led by Cabrera.
