The 64th annual running of the George Jockish Bergen County Tournament takes stage at Garfield Middle School on Saturday and Sunday, but out of the field will be NJ.com No. 7-ranked St. Joseph (Mont.) as the Green Knights are at Escape The Rock at Council Rock South (PA) this weekend.

Still in the field however is No. 8 Bergen Catholic, No. 15 Don Bosco Prep, Paramus Catholic and many of the state's top public school squads. And despite a plethora of injuries and absences, there's also no shortage of state medalist wrestlers and other past qualifiers for the end of the year action in Atlantic City.

Tentative schedule: Wrestling starts on Saturday with pigtails at 10 a.m. followed by the Round of 32, pre-quarterfinals and quarterfinals. The quarterfinals are estimated to begin at 4 p.m. along with the first round of wrestlebacks. The second round of wrestlebacks will end the day. The semifinals begin Sunday's action at 10 a.m. along with the third round of wrestlebacks. The finals are estimated to begin at 2:30 p.m. with the third, fifth and seventh-place matches being wrestled at 1:30 p.m. after the fourth round of wrestlebacks.

Additional wrestler to watch: Devin Ryan, New Milford, Sr. (unranked at 126)

The West Point commit placed seventh in the state last March and collected gold here as a sophomore at 113 pounds. He was additionally county runner-up at 120 in 2024 and third at 106 as a freshman. Ryan has been a region silver medalist the past two years as well. He's the top seed at 126.
