FACULTY OF HUMANITIES FIRST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE (ON-SITE & ONLINE)

CALL FOR PAPERS

THEME: ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) AND THE FUTURE OF THE HUMANITIES

PREAMBLE

Since the dawn of the 21st century, the human world has faced diverse existential challenges such as global economic meltdown, insecurity, and disease outbreaks. In all of these, environmental injustice a la climate change and the emergent rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) appear to be defining our humanity's collective existence. Like never before, the role of the humanities becomes even more crucial given the current technological landscape of the world. As AI continues to reshape society, the humanities must engage with questions about the ethical implications of new technologies, preserving cultural heritage, and reimagining human-environment relationships. To this end, the Faculty of Humanities (FACHUM) of the Federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa State, Nigeria, invites abstracts/proposals or papers for its first international conference. The three (3)-day event will be held physically and virtually, allowing for attendance of scholars in the Humanities and related disciplines across the globe.
