The networking group PNG West will hold a fund-raiser for the Westonka Food Shelf on Sept. 11-12 at the Jubilee Store in Mound. Members of the group will sell hot dogs and pop. Proceeds will go to the Westonka Food Shelf.
General Mills Credit Union employee graduates from management school
Mike Long, an employee of General Mills Federal Credit Union of Minnetonka, graduated from the 2004 CUNA Management School, hosted by the Credit Union National Association.
CUNA Management School is a three-year college program that requires two weeks of residence in Madison, Wis., each summer. The program is designed to increase students' knowledge of credit union operations.
First- and second-year students attend classes concentrated on management, human relations, leadership, credit and collections, market research, budgeting and auditing. Third-year students participate in an in-depth study of their own credit union operations. Classes are conducted by University of Wisconsin-Madison professors, industry experts and credit union personnel with assistance from CUNA's Center for Executive Development staff.
Steiner hires controller
Steiner Development Inc. announced that Vishal Dutt has joined the firm as controller.
