The New York Giants surprised many by benching and releasing quarterback Daniel Jones this week and if Bovada is correct, the Minnesota Vikings could be a possible top destination for the former top-ten pick.
The sports betting website lists the Vikings as the second-most likely team to sign Jones, placing his odds at +300. Only the Carolina Panthers have a better chance to sign Jones at +170 with the Pittsburgh Steelers (+800), Indianapolis Colts (+850) and Denver Broncos (+850) the next likely destinations.
Jones asked for his release on Friday after the Giants decided to bench him in favor of backup Tommy DeVito.

Jones signed a four-year, $160 million contract with New York after leading them to a playoff victory over the Vikings in 2022 but has led the Giants to a 3-13 record while throwing for 2,979 yards, 10 touchdowns and 13 interceptions over the past two seasons.
The Vikings could be an appealing destination for Jones based on what head coach Kevin O'Connell has done to turn around Sam Darnold's career.
Darnold was a similar draft bust after he was selected by the New York Jets with the third overall pick in the 2018 draft, throwing for 2,387 yards, 19 touchdowns and 10 interceptions while leading Minnesota to an 8-2 record but Jones may be wise to wait on the Vikings until next season.

Darnold is likely to get a big contract in free agency next spring and Jones could slot in as the backup to J.J. McCarthy or the temporary No. 1 starter if McCarthy's recovery from a torn meniscus hits another setback before the 2025 season.
Jones may also be looking to rehab his value immediately and a spot such as Las Vegas (+1000) or Tennessee (+1000) could be a chance to get on the field sooner.
Wherever Jones chooses, he has a good reason to be on the Vikings' radar and could be wearing purple either toward the end of this season or the beginning of 2025.
