The Illinois Fighting Illini continue the college football season at 11 a.m. today against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights at SHI Stadium in Piscataway, New Jersey in a game streaming exclusively on Peacock.

Coach Bret Bielema and the Illini (7-3, 4-3) are coming off a 38-16 win over Michigan State. Rutgers (6-4, 3-4) is coming off a 31-17 win over Maryland.

Launched in 2020, Peacock is NBCUniversal Studios' exclusive streaming service. It offers a variety of content, including NBC movies, TV shows, and news. Peacock also provides customers with live sports, including Sunday Night Football, Premier League soccer, Big Ten basketball and football, and WWE wrestling. The service derives its name from the traditional NBC "peacock" logo. It offers two plans (Premium and Premium Plus) and is supported on several devices. Along with live sports, Peacock also features featured NBCUniversal Studios series -- including "The Office" -- as well as original films and third-party programming.

Illinois is playing on Peacock because it is part of the Big Ten's seven-year, $7 billion media rights deal, signed in 2022. This is the second Illinois football game scheduled to be played exclusively on Peacock, along with its game vs. Central Michigan.
