Kathleen L. Neville of Wilson will serve another term as chairperson of the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission this year, the agency announced last week. She previously was chair in 2021.
The commission operates three international bridges in Niagara County: Rainbow, Whirlpool Rapids and Lewiston-Queenston.

Neville, a public relations professional and former WGRZ-TV broadcaster, has been a board member since 2012. A past commissioner of the New York State Women's Suffrage Commission and former Niagara University trustee, she serves as a senior communications adviser to the head of NFL football operations and is author of books on conduct issues in sports, schools and workplaces.
Lindsay DiCosimo Merani of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont., director of the Hilton Niagara Falls/Fallsview Hotel and Suites, has been elected vice chairperson. She was appointed to the commission in 2024.

Francis A. Soda of Niagara Falls, a former Niagara Falls City Council member and commission member since 2012, was elected secretary. Another 2024 appointee, April Jeffs of Welland, Ont., former chair of the Niagara Parks Commission, was elected treasurer.
Other board members are Harry R. Palladino of Gasport, who was chairperson in 2019 and 2023, and Laryssa Waler Hetmanczuk, a Niagara Region, Ont., native appointed last year. New York's governor and Ontario's premier appoint the members.
