SISSONVILLE, WV (WOWK) - It was a scary start to Christmas Eve for a driver involved in a rollover accident in Sissonville.

The crash happened early Tuesday morning near the Certified Gas Station in the 500 block of Sissonville Drive. The vehicle rolled into the creek, landing on its roof. The female driver was trapped inside.

The Sissonville Fire Department responded and was able to get the driver safely out of the vehicle. She was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Both lanes of traffic were temporarily closed, but have since reopened. There is no word on what caused the crash.
