The boy's mother addressed the court before Brown went off to jail.
"This has been an incredibly painful experience for our family. We trusted this teacher with our child, and that trust was completely violated. She went out of her way to groom him - this wasn't a mistake or a lapse in judgment, it was deliberate and manipulative. The guilty verdict brings relief, but it doesn't undo the harm that was done. We're proud of our son for having the courage to speak up, and we hope this sends a clear message that protecting children must always come first. No child should ever have to go through what he did."
