(WFRV) - Officials are reminding drivers to be safe and cautious due to the Dense Fog Advisories issued for much of northeast Wisconsin until at least noon on Friday.
According to the Kewaunee County website, there are multiple ways to be safe on the roads.
Drivers should have their headlights on the low beam setting as it will allow drivers to see them. It is also suggested that if possible, drivers use yellow fog lights due to a lesser glare.
In addition, officials say that motorists should drive slower and allow extra travel time while increasing their following distance. It is important to assume that there could also be stopped traffic in front of you, even if you may not see it.
Lastly, the release says to postpone a road trip when dense fog reduces the visibility to near zero.
Storm Team 5 will provide updates on the Dense Fog Advisory as needed.
