Zoe Saldaña is in Los Angeles celebrating Italy. The actor is an awards circuit favorite this year, racking up trophy after trophy for her role in "Emilia Perez." So far, she's won a BAFTA Award as well as a Critics Choice Award and Golden Globes award for the film.
She even won recognition from the AACTA. Now, with the Spirit Awards and SAG Awards this weekend, Saldaña was promoting another project at the Filming Italy Los Angeles Festival on Wednesday: She helped present the short film "Dovecote" with director Marco Perego, who is also her husband. Saldaña stars in that piece.
For her duties, Saldaña brought the whole family: her husband and three sons. For a look, Petra Flannery styled her in a Saint Laurent suit. She wore a black tuxedo jacket, high waisted black trousers and a sheer blouse. It's a classic Saint Laurent style.
On foot, Saldaña opted to add height. The performer wore a pair of platform Tamara Mellon heels, as confirmed to FN by her stylist. Though much of the shoe was covered by the trouser leg, the shoes include a thick platform and pointed toe as well as pointed vamp. The company is not currently selling it.
Though she is not wearing Christian Louboutin, the company does offer the Dolly Alta, which is also a classic platform stiletto pump. The heel measures almost six inches, assisted by its substantial platform. MyTheresa sells the Dolly Alta, which is inspired by and named for Dolly Parton, in black patent for $1,195. There's also the so-called Loo Pump which features a platform. That shoe, though, has a T-strap buckle and a wider, block heel.
Saldaña has often been wearing Saint Laurent heels on this tour (the company produced "Emilia Perez") but she's thrown in a number of standout Louboutin styles. Most notably there was the Christian Louboutin Belle and Jewels pump with its sheer fabrication, jewel ankle embellishment and gilded gold heel. She wore those to film a spot on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" In addition though, she attended the Critics' Circle Film Awards in London wearing a pair of shoes from the Louboutin and Maison Margiela collaboration. Those styles were created by Louboutin and then-Margiela designer, the London-raised John Galliano.
