A woman was killed, and two other people, including a 9-year-old girl, were injured in a crash on the Florida Turnpike in Osceola County on Friday.According to Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 5:52 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike near mile marker 226. Troopers said a Chevrolet Equinox traveling northbound went into the inside shoulder, the driver overcorrected back into the travel lanes and hit the left side of a Hyundai Accent.The Chevy ran off the roadway onto the right shoulder, and the Hyundai ended up crashing into a tree. FHP said the driver and front right passenger of the Hyundai were transported to Osceola Regional Hospital, where the passenger later died. She was 68. A 9-year-old girl was transported to Arnold Palmer Hospital with critical injuries.The Chevy's driver was not injured.
