ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) -- A fire at an apartment building in Asheville occurred on Dec. 31, according to the Asheville Fire Department.

The report of the blaze was called in at 11:40 a.m. Dec. 31 at Ledgewood Village Apartments, located at 15 Future Drive.

The fire has since been extinguished and no injuries were reported. However, the Asheville Fire Department said two pet dogs died due to fire exposure, and six residents of the apartment building were displaced.
