KANKAKEE COUNTY, Ill. -- A semi-truck driver died and a juvenile was seriously injured following a crash early Tuesday morning in Kankakee County.

At around 7:05 a.m., authorities responded to Route 17 at Bull Creek Road on the report of a crash involving two semi trucks.

For unknown reasons, one of the semi trucks lost control and struck the other head-on.

A driver was pronounced dead at the scene and a juvenile was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.

All lanes of traffic are currently shut down, according to Illinois State Police.
