HOUSTON -- A 15-year-old boy was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head outside a Christmas party in southwest Houston Wednesday night, according to the Houston Police Department.

This happened at an apartment complex on Burdine Street just before 10 p.m.

Police said the victim had been going in and out of the party throughout the night.

At some point, someone at the party got sick and the Houston Fire Department was called to the scene. While HFD was responding to the scene, the teen was found.

They attempted to render aid, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide investigators were called to the scene. An investigation is underway.
