Mississippi State football WR Mario Craver suspended, won't play against Missouri

STARKVILLE -- Mississippi State football freshman wide receiver Mario Craver has been suspended and will not play Saturday, the team announced.

The reason for his suspension was not disclosed.

Mississippi State (2-8, 0-6 SEC) hosts Missouri (7-3, 3-3) at Davis Wade Stadium on Saturday (3:15 p.m., SEC Network) in the final home game of the season.

Craver is second on the Bulldogs with receiving yards 368 yards and three touchdowns on 17 receptions. He missed two games this earlier this season against Arkansas and UMass due to injury.

Who is Mario Craver's backup on the Mississippi State depth chart?

Craver is one of three starting wide receivers for Mississippi State. Kelly Akharaiyi is listed as his backup.

Akharaiyi has 19 catches for 273 yards and two touchdowns this season.
