Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 features two new maps for its popular Zombies mode, with a third coming sooner than fans anticipated. Citadelle Des Morts will be available on December 5th, 2024. Developer Treyarch has also confirmed that the main story quest for Citadelle des Morts will go live the same day. This is the latest in a string of post-launch successes for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which was recently revealed as October 2024's best-selling video game.

According to the Black Ops 6 roadmap, we already knew that the newest Zombie map would be available in a mid-season update. We just didn't expect it this soon, as Call of Duty Season 1 began on November 14th, just under two weeks before the time of writing.

What to Expect in Citadelle des Morts
The update will feature a new enemy type specific to Citadelle des Morts. Also included are a new Perk-a-Cola, Field Upgrade, Ammo Mod, Wonder Weapon, 18 new Augments, three new GobbleGums, and a new craftable Support weapon called The Hand Cannon. Players can explore an abandoned castle, a medieval European village, and more.
That was all revealed back on November 7th, though. Details about the next Zombies update were light until today when Treyarch posted the official release date. More details are expected before the map launches on December 5th.

Recently, Directed Mode was added for Zombies players wishing to experience the Dark Aether story in Liberty Falls and Terminus. A guided route will be available to help complete the Main Quests. Still, Zombies fans have felt miffed about a lack of details regarding Season 1 updates. Today's news will go a long way to addressing their concerns.
Fans can also expect to see the same characters featured on the Terminus Island map: Weaver, Carver, Grey, and Maya.
