MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WSAW) - A young man from Medford is showing what it means to have that Christmas spirit.
Since springtime, 12-year-old Braxtyn Cyborowski has been buying up gently used or new pajamas and onesies.
On Sunday, he donated 166 of them to the NICU at Marshfield Children's Hospital with the help of his sister, who is a nurse there. Braxtyn understands firsthand how a gesture like this can be uplifting.
"I was born with a cleft lip and pallet, so I've been in a hospital a couple of times before, and I know what it feels like to be in the hospital, and I know what it feels like to get a gift from the hospital. It feels really good, so I decided to donate there," Braxtyn said.
Braxtyn and his mom Connie have also donated blankets for babies in the past. Some others have already told them they'd like to team up with them again next year.
