Mews acquires revenue management specialist Atomize

Hospitality technology specialist Mews has acquired revenue management software provider Atomize for an undisclosed sum.

Atomize offers price optimization capabilities to help hotels boost revenue. The platform's main technology includes real-time dynamic pricing, granular room level pricing, multi-property and group pricing capabilities and automation and human control.

Part of the agreement is to align the strengths of both platforms to support hoteliers in delivering better guest experiences while boosting profitability by bringing hoteliers a more comprehensive approach to managing revenue and operations.

"In an industry where bookings can happen at any time, making informed decisions in real-time is crucial," said Richard Valtr, founder of Mews.

"Traditional revenue management systems often result in hoteliers resorting to blanket price changes. This is why we are so excited to bring Atomize onboard to equip our customers with predictive insights and market data, empowering them to maximize revenue."

Atomize was founded in 2016 and is based in Sweden.

"This creates long-term possibilities to innovate further, deeper and faster, setting new standards for operational intelligence and revenue optimization. Together, we are creating a foundation for the next generation of hoteliers to thrive, not just today, but in a rapidly evolving industry that demands forward-thinking, scalable solutions." Alexander Edström, CEO of Atomize, said.

In March, Mews announced funding of $110 million with a valuation crossing $1.2 billion and saw a 54% growth in gross payment volume to more than $8 billion at the time. More recently, it announced $100 million in new financing to accelerate growth.

The acquisition of Atomize is the second for Mews in as many weeks and its third this year. Most recently it acquired meetings and events technology specialist Quotelo while in May it acquired Germany-based HS3. Earlier in 2024, Mews acquired Frontdesk Anywhere, a cloud-based hotel management technology player.
