Ranking Nashville area's top individual performances from TSSAA football playoffs
1. Jared Curtis, Nashville Christian: The five-star junior quarterback was 21-of-28 passing for 235 yards, six touchdowns and no interceptions in a 62-34 win over Jackson Christian as Nashville Christian reached the Division II-A championship game. Curtis also had 17 carries for 118 yards and a score. The Eagles (11-1) will play Columbia Academy (10-3) for the title on Dec. 5.
2. Kaedyn Marable, BGA: The junior quarterback was 25-of-33 passing for 315 yards, four touchdowns and an interception in BGA's 28-21 win over FRA to reach the DII-AA state finals. BGA (11-2) avenged a region loss to FRA (11-2) and will play CPA (13-0) for a chance to win its first state title since 2018.
3. Daune Morris, Oakland: The USC football commitment ran for 253 yards and scored four touchdowns in Oakland's 49-46 win over Riverdale in the Class 6A quarterfinals. Morris was hampered by an ankle injury for much of the regular season but now has 481 rushing yards and nine touchdowns in Oakland's last two playoff games.
4. Jaidon Hurst, Springfield: Hurst rushed for 215 yards on 17 carries with two TDs in the Yellow Jackets' 47-14 upset win over No. 2 Beech in the Class 5A quarterfinals. Springfield (8-5) will host No. 1 Page (13-0) in the semifinals.
5. Jackson Usherwood, Columbia Academy: Usherwood had three interceptions, including an interception returned for a TD, in the Bulldogs' 47-13 win over DCA in the Division II-A semifinals. Columbia Academy will play for a TSSAA football title for the first time in school history.
Ranking Nashville area's top team wins from TSSAA football playoffs
1. Springfield: The Yellow Jackets stunned Beech, 47-14, in the Class 5A quarterfinals as their TSSAA football playoffs rampage continues. Springfield (8-5) was 5-5 entering the postseason after a 21-16 loss to Beech to end the regular season.
2. Battle Ground Academy: BGA made big adjustments in its 28-21 win over FRA in the DII-AA semifinals. FRA largely controlled the first meeting, a 39-14 win. BGA's defense has shown improvement since. Arnett Hayes helped Marable put up huge numbers, catching 15 passes for 162 yards and two touchdowns.
3. Pearl-Cohn: The defending Class 4A champions trailed 21-0 at halftime and rallied for a 27-21 overtime win at Marshall County, avenging a region championship loss. The Firebirds (10-3) blocked a field goal at the end of regulation. Omarion Starnes rushed for the winning touchdown in overtime. Pearl-Cohn's quest for back-to-back titles continues when it travels to Melrose (10-3) for the semifinals.
4. Oakland: The Patriots (12-1) don't quit. They trailed Riverdale (10-3) for most of the second half in their Class 6A quarterfinal, including 38-28 late in the third quarter, before Oakland scored 21 consecutive points in a 10-minute stretch to sew up a 49-46 win. Oakland will host Maryville (12-1) in the semifinals.
5. Page: The top-ranked Patriots (13-0) held No. 5 Shelbyville to a season-low point total in a 28-6 win. Shelbyville's fewest points in a game until this week was 28 against Tullahoma on Nov. 1.
