GREENSBORO -- A Guilford County Sheriff's Office employee was in a Wednesday evening crash involving a pedestrian on US 29, just north of Cone Boulevard, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
The Greensboro Police Department is leading the investigation of the accident.

Neither the police department nor the sheriff's office has disclosed the name of the driver or the pedestrian, the extent of the pedestrian's injuries, or a possible cause for the crash.
The incident forced closure of the northbound lanes of US 29 at Cone Boulevard for several hours Wednesday night.
