Boulder County pays $14.2M for new building to house mental health, job services

The Boulder County government recently paid $14.2 million for a building at 2525 28th St. in Boulder that workers plan to convert into a new space to serve residents, according to a county press release.

County services for residents - such as mental health services and job services - are expected to move into the new building, after county workers complete energy efficiency upgrades and remodeling on the building. The transition is expected to take over a year, according to the release. Those services are currently available at the county's North Broadway Complex at 1333 Iris Ave., in Boulder.

The new building is expected to be easier for residents to access, and to offer more energy efficiency and safety, according to the release. Once workers have moved into the new building, county government officials will decide what to do with the North Broadway Complex, the release said.

Boulder County workers also operate the St. Vrain Community Hub in Longmont and the Southeast Community Hub in Lafayette as places that offer county services that residents need.
