To the editor -- Fluoride can be helpful or harmful, depending on the concentration and length of consumption. Some areas of the world have naturally occurring fluoride (4-7+ parts per million ppm) others have none. Cities that add UP TO 1 ppm see a drastic reduction in dental caries -- cavities. I saw the difference firsthand as a dental assistant in the '70s. Pre-fluoridation, bombed-out mouths. Post-fluoridation, easy checkup, see ya in six months.

Without naturally occurring fluoride, it takes a lot to poison yourself. You are not drinking that mouthwash and eating that toothpaste, are you?

Don't take my word for it. Check out the CDC article "About Community Water Fluoridation." If you don't believe the CDC, but do believe some guy on TikTok, fluoride is not your biggest problem.
