Nov. 20 -- BEMIDJI -- The Bemidji Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its 117th Annual Gala Celebration from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, at the Sanford Center Ballroom, 1111 Event Center Drive NE.

Everyone is welcome and attendees can mingle during a social hour, listen to keynote speaker Chad Greenway of the Minnesota Vikings, view the passing of the gavel and awards presentation, dine, participate in a silent auction and enjoy a wine wall, a release said.

Greenway played 11 years for the Minnesota Vikings after finishing an All-American career at the University of Iowa.

"Growing up on a family farm in South Dakota, Greenway learned the valuable lesson that hard work, perseverance and dedication to a craft can bring success," a release said. "Get a behind-the-scenes look at life in the NFL from Greenway with amazing characters, leaders and personalities."

The program will also include an introduction of the Chamber's new Board of Directors, Chair and members, as well as volunteers throughout the year.

Proceeds from the event will support the work of the Bemidji Area Chamber.

Tickets cost $60 for an individual ticket or $70 for non-chamber members. Tables of eight cost $500 for members or $600 for non-members.
