My 600-Lb Life star Latonya Pottain has sadly passed away.

According to reports obtained by TMZ, the 40-year-old died in her hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana Saturday night. Per the Natchitoches Parish Coroner's Office she passed away at the Christus Highland Medical Center, with the preliminary autopsy revealing the cause was congestive heart failure. So, so sad.

Latonya's brother confirmed the news to the outlet. He said her family went to visit her on Saturday morning and noticed she was having difficulty breathing. She told her family she was extremely uncomfortable. Later in the day, after her family had gone home, a nurse contacted them and let them know Latonya had called an ambulance for herself because she was going into cardiac arrest. Latonya was known for her episode in Season 11 of the TLC reality show where Dr. Younan Nowzaradan, AKA Dr. Now, said he couldn't do anything more for her because of her failure to stick with her weight loss regimen. The only time she'd ever successfully lost weight was when she was previously hospitalized for heart issues.
