According to an article on the WMTW website, a former Maine School Administrative District 75 employee is currently being investigated by the Portland Police Department.
The article explains that MSAD 75 Superintendent Heidi O'Leary has explained that, on May 2nd, the Portland Police Department notified the district that a former employee of Mt. Ararat Middle & High School was under investigation.
So far, no arrests have been made and no charges have been filed.
During a brief press conference, Superintendent O'Leary went on to say that, based on communications she had with the police, there is no current risk to students or staff.
At this time, the name of the person being investigated, and the details of the case, are not being released.
WMTW quotes her as saying:
As a superintendent, this situation is deeply unsettling for the entire MSAD 75 community. But we are committed to communicating as swiftly and as transparently as possible, recognizing that there may be information that cannot be disclosed in order to protect the integrity of the investigation, ensure the privacy of potential persons involved and comply with confidentiality laws

According to the article, the current investigation has nothing to do with recent sports hazing allegations.
