25+ of the Funniest Parenting Tweets of the Week (May 22, 2025)

32-year-old surrogate mother demands her 60-year-old mom stop acting as "grandma" to surrogate baby, Lily, and respect the real parents after weeks of social media posts and unwanted parenting advice: 'She's been acting like she's Lily's grandmother' 23-year-old sister refuses to cancel her graduation trip in favor of babysitting sister's kids while sister leaves for her anniversary getaway: 'I already had everything planned and paid for'

Everyone has different philosophies when it comes to parenting. Some parents are more hands-off, leaving the kids to figure stuff out by themselves. Hey, remember when Gen Xers and Boomers were growing up and the only parenting philosophy was "Don't come home until the streetlights turn on?" We were given a spare key and a box of Kraft Mac n Cheese and left to our own devices. And that was just fine... I guess. But other parents (especially parents now) are more hands-on.

They're signing their kids up for extracurriculars, helping them with their homework, getting to know their friends' parents, involving themselves in the school, and more. They're way more present in their kid's lives than perhaps their parents were for them. There is so much research about child psychology and countless books available that claim to teach you about parenting. But all that ultimately matters is that you trust your intuition and maintain a good relationship with your child.
