LEBANON, Wis. (WFRV) - Authorities in Waupaca County have identified the driver who died in a single-vehicle crash on Dec. 18 as 34-year-old Harvey L. Larson of Lac du Flambeau.

According to the Waupaca County Sheriff's Office, alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor in the crash, which also injured a passenger who has not been identified.

A preliminary investigation determined that Larson failed to navigate a curve on County Highway T, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and collide with a utility pole.

Larson was pronounced dead at the scene, while the passenger was airlifted to a nearby hospital.

No further details have been released as the investigation continues.
