BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - At the Capitol Theater Friday, House on the Hill showed that no one should be left home alone with a fundraiser for their program.

The night included a silent auction, Santa stopping by for a visit and a house design contest.

The winning designs will actually be used in the affordable housing community House on the Hill plans to build.

Executive director Joel Hawkins says all the funding from this silent auction will go toward this community as it gets close to being built.

"Tonight's event, the money and the proceeds from this will go to that project... and we hope to have that project breaking ground in the next within the next year," he says.

Another part of their work that was shown off tonight was the guesthouse program, which consists of this affordable housing as well as emergency housing.

Of course, on a cold night, it's definitely perfect to head inside, grab some popcorn and watch a classic Christmas movie as well.
