The first month of the 2024-25 high school basketball season has had mixed results for 9th District girls teams, but all four squads will look to hit the ground running when they return from holiday break.

Owensboro (3-3, 2-0 9th District) started off the year winning three of its first four games, including district wins over Apollo and Daviess County, but fell to Edmonson County and Dyersburg (Tenn.) in consecutive games before heading into the break.
