Description: Public hearing for the land use applications listed below that are scheduled for the January 26, 2006, Minnetonka Planning Commission meeting.
Location: City Council chambers in the Community Center, 14600 Minnetonka Blvd, Minnetonka, Minnesota
Projects:
(1) 4725 and 4735 Clear Spring Road, for Community Involvement Programs (CIP), represented by Marilyn Ehline, Housing Director. Community Involvement Programs (CIP) provides housing for 20 single adults with mental illness in three existing buildings at 4725 and 4735 Clear Spring Road. CIP is proposing to remove the existing farmhouse and barn, and build four new residential buildings. The proposal requires: (1) an amendment to the existing conditional use permit to increase residents from 20 to 21; (2) site and building plan review, with variance; and, (3) preliminary plat approval to divide the existing property. An e-mail response on this request may be sent to [email protected], reference Project 88017.05a.
(2) 17024 Grays Bay Boulevard, for Lakewest Landscape, represented by Jim Fretham. Lakewest Landscape is proposing changes to the private lake access lot at 17024 Gray's Bay Boulevard: (1) drain tile and a depression area are proposed to capture water runoff from the property and surrounding lots; (2) a pervious patio area would be added near the lake. As the entire lot is within a floodplain, the proposal requires a floodplain alteration permit, conditional use permit, and a variance. An e-mail response on this request may be sent to [email protected], reference Project 05095.05a.
(3) 16001 Lake Street Extension, for the City of Minnetonka, represented by Captain Mark Raquet: conditional use permit. The City of Minnetonka is proposing to replace an existing communications antenna on the Tonkawood Water Tower. The 21.5 foot "pole" antenna would be part of the police and fire departments' transition to the Regional 800 MHz radio system. The proposal requires a conditional use permit and height variance. An e-mail response on this request may be sent to [email protected], reference Project 96001.05a.
