ASHEBORO, N.C. (WGHP) -- Photographs show the aftermath of a wild crash at a busy Asheboro intersection on Thursday morning.

The crash took place around 7:15 a.m. at the intersection of N.C. 42 and Patton Avenue.

Eric Hoffman, chief of the East Side Fire Department, says that the intersection is often difficult to cross in the morning due to the sun shining into drivers' eyes.

The crash involved a white Toyota SUV that was waiting to turn left on Patton Avenue and the driver of a blue Honda car who did not see the white SUV and crashed into it from behind.

Photos from the scene show the aftermath of the Toyota SUV resting on top of the blue Honda that crashed under it.

Officials say that no one was injured in the crash, which happened just one block away from US 64/Dixie Drive.
