The Shakopee Legion baseball team is struggling at the end of the regular season.

After a tough appearance in the Hopkins tournament, Shakopee hosted the best team in the league, Prior Lake, for a doubleheader yesterday and lost both games.

Prior Lake sits at 12-0 in the league. SHakopee is 8-5 in league play.

Shakopee lost the first game 9-1. While the second game had a better outcome, it was a 4-3 loss Shakopee loss.

Shakopee hit into five double plays in the game, and of the 13 runs scored by Prior Lake, eight of them were unearned.

Shakopee finishes the regular season on Wednesday at Waconia, and plays in the league playoffs at Plato and Hutchinson on Saturday and Sunday.
